China-Yunnan: 19th Oct

After alot of hurdles (shall not mention them), I managed to reach the airport at around 7 am, which is an hr before my flight. Was surprised to see such super long queue at the check-in counters !

Sianzz .... I thought Kiasu Sporeans would have checked in long time ago.

But luckily, they open a counter for those who have done internet check-in. So in no time, I was done ! :)
Something I love about Singapore - Efficiency !

Had very little sleep the night before, need something to wake me up ! Coffee to the rescue !

After 4 hrs of flight, I reach Kunming airport @ 1210pm, the temperature was supposed to be around 18 degree, but it felt really nice and cooling. Maybe, thats y Kunming have the name of "四季如春"
Check out, so many people @ the arrival hall ! Since I have 3 hrs plus to "kill" before my <<导游>> arrive from BJ, I decide to go to the depature hall instead.

Walk around, saw alot of things which Im familiar with. The 1st thing that caught my eyes were 康师傅 muffins. Something which I like when I was working in China ! Glad that I dint buy any muffins @ Starsbuck in Spore. 2 muffins @ RMB6, although it is cheap, think it will still be a ripped-off since it is @ e airport ! Saw alot of other things like 康师傅 drinks, chewing gum, packet of milk. I also saw ice-cream that I like ... seasme and green bean. All this brought back all the familiar feelings.

Within 1 hr, I notice the things that never change in China:-

1) SPITTING !

2) Group of people gathering around to play cards

3) Not closing their toilet doors ?? Why have doors when you dont close it ? Maybe thats why till today, their toilet dont have doors ?!

We check into 陀峰客栈 - The Hump. We had a twin room @ RMB60 per night. The room reminds me of a prison cell ! Wont recommend 陀峰客栈 - The Hump, however, it is conveniently located to shopping malls and food places.
